      Haryana- Hissar, Rohtak & Karnal)” from Punjab University, India.

 

CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS

·       Prestigious State Award bestowed in 1983 as “Best Teacher” of Delhi State, national territory of India on Teacher’s day (5th September) for meritorious services in the Field of Education. The Award consisted of a cash prize, commendation certificate with a medal.

 

·       Awarded the National Prestigious, “ Bronze Medal ” for excellent services during “ National 1981 CENSUS WORK ” – Conducted by Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India, New Delhi, India.

 

·       Spent 40 years as Service-driven educational institution administrator (Post secondary school). Reviewed and monitored students grades in Central Board of Examinations of India including preparation of exams. Provided analytical and leadership abilities in reviewing students textbooks.  

 

NATIONAL LEVEL ACTIVITIES IN INDIA

·       Provided Knowledge expertise & leadership resources to N.I.E. and N.C.E.R.T. (Department of Social Sciences) as ‘Knowledge Person’ to review the Manuscript of Text Books/Drafts/Hand Books/Research Study to cater the needs of pre-service & in-service teachers at all India higher secondary stage for implementing the National Educational Policies & Schemes.

·       Reviewed & wrote chapters in Text-books, “ Sthanniya Prashasan” – both in

English & Versions published by N.C.E.R.T. prescribed by Central Board of

Secondary Education to be taught in Middle classes.

 

·       Member of the Curricular Review Committee of DELHI BUREAU OF TEXT BOOK under the Directorate of Education, Delhi Administration, Delhi and Reviewed several text books in Social Sciences.

 

·       Delivered many talks / lectures on ALL INDIA RADIO & (Doordarshan) Television in the National Schools Broadcasting programs on textbook’s topics such as “Our Constitution”, “Chola Administration” in India and “Dakshin Bharat Ke Raje-II”.

 

·       Actively participated in the National Educational “Sixth Refresher Course” organized by the Department of Culture, Ministry of Human Development and Resources, New Delhi India under the scheme of  “Propagation of Culture Among College & School Students”.

·       Participated in several Workshops on, “ Theater for Children & Fine Arts And Sculpture ” at Renowned Center of National School of Song & Drama, at Bhawalpur House, New Delhi, India.

·       Participated in various National Conferences/Seminars/Workshops and work group meetings organized by National Institute of Education, India.

 

Literary Activities in Canada

 

·       Actively participated in cultural activities of Panorama India in 1998-99.

 

·       Founder member of Hindi Sahitya Sabha (Toronto). Organized & participated in many Hindi Poetry-Kavi Sammelan over the past few years.

 

                 Actively participated in the celebration of India’s Literary Heritage at  

                 Harbourfront Center, Toronto on Independence Day (1999). 

     

·       Participated in India Rainbow Community Services of Peel Region in Community Advisory Committee’s Meetings. Rendered volunteering services.

 

·       Teaching & taking classes to teach Hindi language to Canadian young boys &

Girls and adult men & women with Hindu Institute of Learning (Reg) organ.

 

·       Contributing self composed gazals and Hindi poems in bilingual newspapers – Namaste Canada / Hello Canada / Chetna / Vishwa etc. publications in USA,

     Canada and India.
